Ace Hardware (Rathdrum)
The Seright family expanded into the growing Rathdrum community with their new 20,000 square foot Ace Hardware store on the South side of Highway 41 in Rathdrum, Idaho. This new location marks the third locally owned Ace Hardware in the Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls area by the Seright family. The expansion aims to bring Rathdrum its very own hardware supplier, as all other hardware suppliers are located in Coeur d’Alene or Post Falls.
Construction consists of CMU walls, steel bar joists, single-ply membrane roofing, metal roofing, and a polished concrete floor. The entrance tower was designed to be a focal point for the building and provide an easily visible location for signage. The tower was also clad with 2×12 wood siding pulled from the original 1890’s homestead barn which was original to the site.
Consistent with our thoughtful planning, our work encompassed both the full site development for the Ace Hardware site, but also for the adjacent pad sites for potential future developments. In addition, we worked with the Idaho Transportation Department to develop a smooth right-in/right-out access driveway onto Highway 41 that provides access for all three lots.
