CDA Fire Station 3
This 8500 SF fire station for the City of Coeur d’Alene was constructed to provide fire protection for the Northeast side of the City. The City requested that the design incorporate traditional fire house elements, while also blending with the residential character of the neighborhood. The station was designed with hip roofs with composition shingle roofing, shingle siding, and brick veneer wainscot.
The fire station includes a 4-bay apparatus room, a 30 person meeting room, three double sleeping rooms, one single sleeping room, an exercise room, day room, offices, turn-out gear storage, and a decontamination room. The decontamination room has an outside entrance so contaminates are kept out of the station. In addition, the fire station has a generator for emergency power, a fire sprinkler system, a gas-fire radiant heat system for the apparatus room and a vehicle exhaust system.
