Hayden Lake Rancher
This residence started as a remodel to a 1950’s rancher that had spectacular views and beach front on Hayden Lake. To take advantage of setbacks and grandfathered elements of the existing structure it was decided to remodel the existing residence rather than demolish the entire structure and start over. Foundations and floor framing were reused and grandfathered walls were protected for reuse. A new master suite with a walk-in closet and his and hers bathrooms was developed in the grandfathered area of the residence and has spectacular views of Hayden Lake. The living room and dining room are separated by a two sided fireplace and have large windows to take advantage of the views to Hayden Lake. The upper level of the home consists of an office and home theater room. Due to the sites long and narrow configuration we split the garage to create dramatic entrance pathway to the main entry. After passing between the garages, visitors traverse down a series of steps under a covered walkway and bridge, spanning a manmade stream and waterfall, to the main entry.
